About the role

PayTech Solutions is seeking an Electronics Service Technician to join our growing team in Lidcombe, NSW. This is a full-time position that plays a vital role in maintaining, diagnosing and repairing our electronic equipment and machines. As an Electronics Service Technician, you will be responsible for ensuring our clients receive timely and effective technical support, directly contributing to the reliability and performance of our products and services.

This position is based on-site in Lidcombe, NSW 2141.

Key responsibilities

- Diagnose faults and defects in electronic equipment and systems using specialised testing equipment and tools

- Repair or replace faulty components, circuits and assemblies in accordance with technical specifications and safety standards

- Troubleshoot complex electrical and electronic problems by analysing system performance and identifying root causes with products sent to us for repairs as well as on the telephone

- Knowledge on PC's would be an advantage

- Good telephone communication skills is required

- Document all service work completed, including service reports and technical findings

- Communicate technical issues and solutions clearly to customers and internal teams

- Adhere to health and safety regulations and maintain a safe working environment

- Keep abreast of technological developments and product updates relevant to the role

What we're looking for

- Formal qualification in electronics engineering, electrical engineering, or equivalent technical qualification recognised within Australia

- Proven experience working as an electronics technician or in a similar hands-on technical role within the electrical/electronic engineering industry

- Strong proficiency with diagnostic equipment such as multimeters, power analysers and fault-finding tools

- Solid understanding of circuit theory, electronic components and electrical systems

- Excellent problem-solving abilities and a methodical approach to troubleshooting technical faults





- Ability to read and interpret technical schematics, circuit diagrams and service manuals

- Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship

- Clear communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences

- Valid driver's licence and willingness to travel to client sites as required

- Preferred: experience with specific equipment or systems used in the payments industry
