EN/RN Wound Care Nurse – Bunbury

About the role

Advance Kare is seeking an experienced Enrolled Nurse (EN) or Registered Nurse (RN) to provide wound care for a client in Bunbury, WA 6230. This position involves three one-hour morning visits each week:

- Monday morning
- Wednesday morning
- Friday morning
- Total: approximately 3 hours per week, but may increase in coming months.

The role is available on either a casual employment basis or as an independent subcontractor with an ABN.

Key responsibilities

- Conduct wound assessments and provide wound dressing care according to the client’s clinical care plan
- Monitor wound healing and identify signs of infection, deterioration or other clinical concerns
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical notes, wound charts and relevant documentation
- Report changes in the client’s condition to the appropriate healthcare professionals
- Follow infection-control procedures, clinical protocols and nursing standards
- Communicate professionally with the client, family members and the Advance Kare clinical team
- Deliver respectful, safe and person centred nursing care

What we’re looking for

- Current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (NMBA) as an EN or RN
- Demonstrated wound-care and dressing experience




- Current First Aid and CPR certification
- Current National Police Clearance
- NDIS Worker Screening Check, or willingness to obtain one
- Strong understanding of infection control and clinical documentation
- Reliable transport and a valid driver’s licence
- Excellent communication, time-management and interpersonal skills
- A compassionate, reliable and person centred approach

Applicants wishing to work as subcontractors must hold a valid ABN and appropriate skilled and public liability insurance.
