We are seeking a reliable, hands-on Grounds & Maintenance Officer to join our team at Woodlands Retirement Village Cherrybrook 2126. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring our grounds, gardens, and facilities are kept to a high standard of safety, presentation, and functionality. This is a dynamic, active role that suits someone who takes pride in practical work and enjoys a mix of outdoor landscaping and indoor building upkeep.

Key responsibilities

- General garden upkeep, plant care, lawn mowing, pruning, weed control, and enhancing outdoor common areas
- Carrying out routine repairs, general handywork, preventative maintenance, and troubleshooting minor faults across buildings and facilities
- Ensuring all work is conducted in line with safe work methods, adhering to safe operating procedures for power tools and machinery
- Safely handling, using,



and maintaining compliant storage for hazardous goods and chemicals
- Following Safe Work Method Statements (SWMS) and completing necessary safety checklists for daily tasks

About you

- Physically well and capable of performing active duties relating to groundskeeping and building works
- Demonstrated experience in general maintenance, gardening, or landscaping
- Familiarity with the secure operation of various power tools and garden machinery
- Knowledge of, and commitment to, hazardous goods storage regulations and working safely under SWMS
- A proactive, safety-first mindset with good attention to detail

MUST HAVE:

- National Police Check
- Proof of Australian Working Rights (Current Passport/Visa)
