The Opportunity

An established Melbourne commercial builder is looking for an experienced Project Manager to join its growing team. The business delivers a varied mix of commercial fit‑out, refurbishment and new build projects, working with a strong base of repeat clients across Melbourne. You will be responsible for managing projects from initial planning and procurement through to construction, completion and handover, working closely with dedicated Site Managers and Contract Administrators. This is an opportunity for a Project Manager who enjoys taking ownership of their work, managing multiple projects and being part of a business where they can make a genuine impact.

Key Responsibilities





- Manage multiple commercial construction projects from commencement through to handover
- Oversee project programmes, budgets, procurement and overall delivery
- Lead and coordinate Site Managers, Contract Administrators and subcontractors
- Manage client relationships and act as the key point of contact throughout delivery
- Monitor project costs, variations, forecasting and financial performance
- Ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget and to a high standard
- Oversee subcontractor procurement, contract administration and project documentation
- Identify and manage project risks, delays and commercial challenges
- Coordinate with consultants, suppliers and key stakeholders
- Provide regular project updates and reporting to senior management

About You

- Experience as a Project Manager within commercial construction
- Background delivering commercial fit‑out, refurbishment and/or new build projects
- Strong understanding of construction programmes, budgets and contract administration
- Confident managing multiple projects and coordinating site teams
- Strong communication skills and ability to build relationships with clients and subcontractors
- Proactive, reliable and comfortable taking ownership of project delivery
- A trade background or previous site-based experience would be advantageous
