About the Opportunity - Casual (15-20 hours per week)

We are seeking a passionate HR Partner to join our small consulting team.

This is a hands-on delivery role for someone who wants direct client relationships and genuine autonomy.

In this role, you will:

- Work with a small portfolio of clients and act as their primary point of contact for day-to-day HR and ER advice.

- Build trusted client relationships, becoming a trusted go-to resource for practical, operational day to day HR solutions.

- Take the initiative to grow your own body of work with existing clients through the quality and consistency of your advice, spotting opportunities to add value rather than waiting for instruction.

- Work alongside the team on more complex projects, investigations and employee relations matters, escalating and collaborating where needed.

- Provide hands-on support in HR Information Systems such as Employment Hero, maximising system usage, automation and AI opportunities for clients.

- Draft and review employment and HR documentation tailored to client needs, such as contracts, policies, procedures, leader toolkits, letters, scripts, checklists.

- Support recruitment activities as needed, including position descriptions and job advertisements, shortlisting candidates and attending interviews and conducting reference checks.

- Provide clients with up-to-date guidance on the Fair Work Act, NES, Modern Awards,



WHS legislation, discrimination law, and other employment regulations.

- Leverage technology to analyse people-related data to identify risks, trends, and opportunities, and turn that into practical recommendations for clients.

The role is based in Brisbane, primarily working from home, but you'll need the ability to attend face-to-face meetings with the team or clients. Some local and interstate travel may be required from time to time.

This role is around 15-20 hours per week, with genuine opportunity to grow as consulting opportunities and responsibilities expand.

About you

Essential Criteria

- Proven ability to provide confident, fact-based advice to leaders, with a strong understanding of risk and commercial implications.

- Proven ability to take initiative to identify opportunities and recommend solutions independently.

- Proven experience building and growing client or stakeholder relationships independently, without close supervision.

- 5-7 years of demonstrated HR, ER and IR experience, ideally in a standalone HR role or consulting capacity.

- Recent experience working in a small to medium business (up to 100 employees).

- Hands-on experience administering HRIS and payroll platforms, such as Employment Hero, Rippling and Xero payroll.

- Ability to work as part of a team but also independently, with robust initiative and organisational skills.

- Tertiary qualification in Human Resource Management, Law, Psychology, or related discipline.

- A valid driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle.

Desirable

- Workplace Investigation training and/or experience.

- Qualifications in Work Health Safety, Workplace Rehabilitation or Return to Work Coordination.

- DiSC accredited, or similar profiling tools.
