JTL Equipment Hire is part of the Tradeflex Group and provides commercial and industrial cleaning equipment to customers across Victoria. We're currently looking for an experienced Equipment Service Technician to service, repair and maintain our fleet of ride-on scrubbers, sweepers and other cleaning machinery. This role will suit someone who enjoys working with machinery, solving mechanical problems and taking pride in delivering equipment that is reliable, safe and ready for use. You'll split your time between our Scoresby workshop and customer sites as required.

About the Role

Reporting to the Maintenance & Equipment Manager, you'll be responsible for servicing and repairing equipment across our hire fleet, carrying out preventative maintenance and assisting with equipment refurbishment projects. No two days are the same. One day you might be fault-finding a machine in the workshop, and the next you could be attending a customer site or coordinating repairs with an external supplier.

Key Responsibilities

- Service, diagnose and repair commercial and industrial cleaning equipment.
- Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, battery and hydraulic faults.
- Complete preventative maintenance and scheduled servicing.
- Respond to equipment breakdowns and return machinery to service efficiently.
- Assess equipment condition and carry out refurbishment and make-good works.
- Coordinate specialist repairs including panel work, painting and upholstery when required.
- Maintain service records and equipment maintenance history.
- Assist with the delivery,



collection and commissioning of equipment.
- Provide practical support and guidance to customers on equipment operation and care.
- Ensure all work is completed safely and in accordance with company procedures.

About You

To be successful in this role, you'll have:
- A mechanical trade qualification or equivalent hands-on industry experience.
- At least 3 years' experience servicing and repairing commercial or industrial equipment.
- Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills.
- Experience working with mechanical, electrical and hydraulic systems.
- The ability to work autonomously and manage your workload effectively.
- A current Australian Driver Licence.
- Good communication skills and a practical, solutions-focused approach.

Desirable Experience

- Experience servicing Tennant cleaning equipment.
- Experience with ride-on scrubbers, sweepers or similar industrial machinery.
- Exposure to Nilfisk, i-team or other commercial cleaning equipment brands.
- Test and Tag qualification.
