We are looking for an experienced and reliable Excavator Operator / HR Truck Driver to join our team on an ongoing casual basis.

This is a hands-on role across a variety of civil and earthworks projects accross the Gold Coast, involving excavator operation, driving a HR truck with an Road Ranger gearbox, and assisting with general site duties as required.

We are looking for someone who is confident operating plant, experienced in civil and earthworks environments, and takes pride in doing a good job. A strong work ethic, positive attitude and willingness to get stuck in are just as important as your technical skills.

Please note: Applicants must hold a current HR driver's licence, be competent driving an HR truck with an Open Road Ranger gearbox, and have relevant excavator tickets and proven operating experience. Applicants who do not meet these essential requirements will not be considered.

Key Responsibilities

- Safely operate excavators across a variety of civil and earthworks projects

- Drive a HR truck with an Open Road Ranger gearbox

- Transport plant, equipment & materials as required

- Carry out excavation, trenching, site preparation, earthmoving and associated works within your competency

- Conduct daily pre-start inspections on plant, vehicles and equipment

- Identify and report defects, hazards, incidents and safety concerns

- Follow SWMS, site instructions, pre-start requirements and established safety procedures

- Assist with general labouring and site duties when required

- Maintain plant, vehicles, equipment and work areas in a safe and tidy condition

- Work effectively with supervisors, labourers, other operators and site personnel

- Participate in site inductions, pre-starts, toolbox talks and other required safety activities

Who We're Looking For

We're looking for someone who is experienced, reliable and genuinely keen to work.

Essential requirements:

- Current HR driver's licence





- Demonstrated competency driving an HR truck with an Open Road Ranger gearbox

- Relevant excavator tickets/licences for the work being undertaken

- Proven practical experience operating excavators in civil construction or earthworks

- White Card (Construction Induction)

- Ability to work safely around plant, vehicles and other site personnel

- Physically capable of performing the practical duties associated with the role

- Reliable, punctual and able to follow instructions

- Strong work ethic, positive attitude and willingness to get stuck in

- Commitment to safe work practices and following site procedures

Highly regarded:

- Experience across a range of civil and earthworks projects

- Experience transporting plant and equipment

- Experience operating different sizes of excavators and using associated attachments

- Additional relevant licences, tickets or competencies
