Who we are
Nordica Health is an established and growing allied health clinic located at Forest Glen Village Centre on the beautiful Sunshine Coast. We specialise in osteoporosis and bone health, healthy ageing and falls prevention, persistent pain and invisible illnesses, and neurological conditions.
We genuinely care about our clients and believe in taking the time to deliver high-quality, person-centred care. Our approach combines evidence-based practice, education and collaboration, with a focus on empowering people to develop confidence, independence and autonomy in managing their health.
Nordica Health was the first clinic on the Sunshine Coast to introduce Onero™, an evidence-based, award-winning exercise program for osteoporosis. Today, we deliver an established program of Onero™ classes alongside individual consultations and other specialised exercise services.
We are proud of the supportive community we've built, where clients, members and practitioners feel valued, connected and encouraged to learn and grow together.
The role
We are seeking a motivated and compassionate Accredited Exercise Physiologist to join our growing team. Initially, the position will offer approximately 12–15 hours per week, with the opportunity to progressively increase hours towards 30 hours or potentially full-time, depending on the successful applicant's interests and the growth of their caseload.
The role will involve a combination of individual consultations and supervised group exercise programs, primarily Onero™ osteoporosis classes.
You will work with a range of clients across our specialised areas of care, and will include private, Medicare, WorkCover and NDIS clients.
Our Onero™ classes follow a structured exercise program, allowing you to focus on coaching, technique, secure progression and building relationships with our members.
Key responsibilities include:
- Conducting comprehensive assessments and developing individualised, evidence-based exercise interventions.
- Delivering individual consultations across our specialised clinical areas.
- Supervising small-group exercise programs, including Onero™ osteoporosis classes.
- Supporting clients through education, collaborative goal setting and developing confidence and self-management skills.
- Working collaboratively with other practitioners to provide coordinated, person-centred care.
- Maintaining accurate clinical documentation and contributing to ongoing professional development and team learning.
About you
We are ideally looking for an EP with at least 1–2 years of clinical experience. However, we also welcome applications from motivated new EP graduates who bring relevant previous experience, such as working as a personal trainer or allied health assistant. We are looking for someone who genuinely enjoys working with people, values teamwork and demonstrates initiative, reliability and a strong work ethic.
Essential requirements:
- A recognised qualification in Clinical Exercise Physiology or equivalent.
- Current ESSA accreditation as an Accredited Exercise Physiologist, or eligibility for accreditation before commencing.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Confidence working independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Excellent time-management and organisational skills.
- A compassionate, professional and client-centred approach.
- A commitment to evidence-based practice,
ongoing learning and professional development.
- Current first aid and CPR certification.
Highly desirable:
- Experience and confidence in resistance training, weightlifting and exercise technique.
- Experience supervising group exercise sessions.
- Previous experience working with older adults or people living with chronic health conditions.
- Clinical experience or a strong interest in osteoporosis, persistent pain or neurological rehabilitation.
