About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced butcher to join our team at Vic's Meat Chatswood. This opportunity is suited to a professional who is passionate about premium meat, takes pride in their workmanship and is committed to maintaining the exceptional standards Vic's Meat is known for.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare, cut, trim and portion premium meat products to exceptional standards.
- Demonstrate strong technical butchery skills across beef, lamb, pork and poultry.
- Maintain outstanding product presentation, quality and consistency.
- Provide knowledgeable and professional customer service.
- Assist customers with product selection, cooking recommendations and preparation advice.
- Maintain high standards of food safety, hygiene and workplace cleanliness.
- Support stock management,
product rotation and waste minimisation.
- Work collaboratively with the retail team to ensure smooth daily operations.
About You
- Proven experience as a butcher, preferably within a premium retail environment.
- Excellent knife skills and comprehensive meat product knowledge.
- Experience with premium beef, Wagyu and dry-aged products is highly regarded.
- Strong attention to detail and pride in presentation and workmanship.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work efficiently and professionally in a fast-paced environment.
