Salary: $75,000 – $105,000 + Super + Overtime / Penalty Rates

Visa Sponsorship: Subclass 482 / 494 Employer Sponsorship Available

Candidate Preference: Open to both Onshore and Offshore candidates (Strong preference for Onshore applicants with active Australian visas and full work rights, e.g., Subclass 485, 417/462 Working Holiday, 408, or Bridging Visa with full work rights).

About the OpportunityOn behalf of our automotive workshop partner employers operating across New South Wales (NSW) and Western Australia (WA), Home Migration Services is currently recruiting qualified and experienced Light Vehicle Motor Mechanics / Automotive Technicians (ANZSCO 321211).

Our partner employers are approved Australian Standard Business Sponsors seeking trade-qualified mechanics to perform diagnostic testing, mechanical repairs, and routine servicing on passenger cars, SUVs, and light commercial vehicles (4WDs/utes). Onshore candidates with valid work rights seeking visa transfers or employer sponsorship are highly prioritized, while qualified offshore applicants are also welcome to apply.

Key Duties & Responsibilities (ANZSCO 321211 Aligned)

- Detect, troubleshoot, and diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical faults in light vehicles using advanced diagnostic scan tools.
- Service, repair, dismantle, and reassemble engine assemblies, manual/automatic transmissions, steering systems, suspension, and braking systems.
- Perform routine preventive maintenance, including engine oil and filter changes, fluid flushes, tune-ups, and scheduled logbook servicing.
- Test, adjust,



and re-test repaired mechanical components to ensure optimal safety and performance standards.
- Inspect vehicles for roadworthiness and issue safety inspection reports in accordance with state transport regulations.
- Maintain clean, organized work bays and adhere strictly to Australian workplace health and safety (WHS) protocols.

Candidate Eligibility & Requirements
- Qualification: Certificate III in Automotive Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology or equivalent international trade qualification.
- Work Experience: Minimum 3+ years of formal, full time post-qualification experience as a Light Vehicle Mechanic.
- Visa Status: Open to onshore visa holders with active work rights (e.g., 485, 417, 408, or Bridging Visa) and offshore applicants.
- Skills Assessment: Positive Trades Recognition Australia (TRA) outcome (or eligible to undergo TRA skills assessment).
- English Proficiency: Meets minimum requirement for TSS 482 / 494 visa subclass (IELTS overall 5.0 or PTE equivalent).
- Valid Driver’s License and willingness to obtain a Construction/Workshop White Card if required.
