About the role

We are seeking an experienced General Manager to join WONLAND ENTERPRISES PTY LTD in Salisbury, QLD on a full-time basis. This is a strategic leadership position that will oversee the overall operations, strategic direction, and performance of the organisation. As General Manager, you will be responsible for driving business growth, managing key stakeholder relationships, and ensuring the successful delivery of our consulting and policy services. This role is pivotal to the success of the organisation and will require a visionary leader with solid business acumen and operational excellence.

Key responsibilities

- Develop and implement strategic business plans that align with the organisation's mission and drive sustainable growth
- Oversee day-to-day operations and ensure efficient resource allocation across all departments
- Lead, manage, and mentor the leadership team to create a high-performing organisational culture
- Manage financial performance, including budgeting, forecasting, and cost control measures
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, stakeholders, and partners
- Identify new business opportunities within the consulting and policy sectors
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, policies, and industry standards
- Monitor market trends and competitive landscape to inform strategic decision-making




- Drive continuous improvement initiatives and operational excellence across the organisation
- Report to the Board on organisational performance and strategic progress

What we're looking for

- 10+ years of senior management experience, ideally within consulting, strategy, or policy-related organisations
- Proven track record of successfully leading organisations through growth and transformation
- Strong strategic thinking and business development capabilities with a focus on profitable growth
- Excellent financial management skills, including budget management, P&L; responsibility, and financial analysis
- Demonstrated expertise in stakeholder management and relationship building at senior levels
- Strong understanding of the consulting and strategy sector, particularly policy-related work
- Exceptional leadership and team management capabilities
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex ideas clearly
- Strategic problem-solving abilities and a results-oriented mindset
- Bachelor's degree in business, management, policy, or a related discipline (or equivalent professional experience)
- Experience in organisational change management and cultural development is highly desirable
