/n Zerella Fresh is one of Australia’s largest grower and packers of Carrots, Onions and Potatoes, supplying Australia’s leading supermarket chains plus independents and exports. /n /n We are currently seeking an experienced and motivated FINANCIAL ACCOUNTANT to join our team on a full-time permanent basis, supporting operations at our Virginia site in South Australia. /n /n As a valuable member of our team, this position will play a vital role in the success of our operations. Reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer you will be working in an administrative office environment. /n /n Responsibilities: /n /n

- Responsible for the preparation of P&L;, balance sheet, and monthly management reports, ensuring effective comparison with budgets.

/n

- Responsible for the development of annual budgets, including the preparation of presentations for banks, external auditors and other key stakeholders.

/n

- Ensure the accuracy of the general ledger, maintaining compliance with all relevant accounting standards.

/n

- Oversee the preparation of weekly KPI reports for the CFO, identifying any anomalies or areas of concern for review and discussion.

/n

- Prepare and lodge BAS, payroll tax and super reconciliations.

/n

- Ensure compliance with ATO requirements and provide support in the preparation and execution of external audits.

/n

- Make sure appropriate documentation is maintained for tax, audit, and statutory purposes,



ensuring applicable retention timelines are followed.

/n

- Oversee AP processes and coordinate with the relevant internal teams to ensure timely payments.

/n

- Oversee bank reconciliations and monitor cash flow.

/n

- Provide financial insights and reporting to support decision-making across departments as required.

/n

- Identify opportunities to streamline finance processes and enhance efficiency.

/n

- Support the CFO in ad hoc analysis and finance projects.

/n

- Collaborate with internal teams (e.g., HR, Marketing) to deliver tailored insights.

/n

- Weekly travel to other company sites, primarily Parilla SA 5303.

/n /n Qualifications: /n /n

- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or a related field.

/n

- CPA or ACCA certification preferred.

/n

- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role.

/n

- Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, and auditing practices.

/n

- Excellent analytical, organizational and communication skills.

/n

- Strong team player with the ability to collaborate effectively with others.

/n

- Excellent attention to detail, time management, and organisation.

/n

- Confident working across various internal stakeholders.

/n

- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.

/n

- Proactive, analytical thinker with a team-oriented mindset.
