An established organisation operating within the resources and industrial sector is seeking an experienced Financial Controller to take ownership of a broad range of financial activities.

This opportunity would suit a commercially minded finance professional who enjoys combining technical accounting responsibilities with operational involvement and stakeholder engagement.

Reporting to the Group Financial Controller, this is a varied, hands-on position encompassing financial reporting, group consolidations, cash flow forecasting, statutory compliance and team management.

The successful candidate will be a technically strong and reliable finance professional who enjoys working within a small team and taking responsibility for a broad range of accounting activities.

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare monthly financial reports and consolidate financial results across multiple entities.

- Manage weekly cash flow forecasting and support financial planning activities.

- Prepare annual financial statements in accordance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).

- Review and oversee FBT, BAS and quarterly royalty returns.

- Coordinate annual tax returns and budgeting processes.

- Manage and support a small finance team.

- Maintain accurate financial records and ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and statutory obligations.

- Work collaboratively with senior finance leadership and operational stakeholders.





Skills and Experience To be considered for this opportunity, you will ideally demonstrate:

- Degree qualification in Accounting or Finance, with CPA or CA accreditation.

- A minimum of five years' experience in a similar financial management or Financial Controller position.

- Strong financial reporting and group consolidation experience.

- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office.

- Excellent problem-solving and analytical capabilities.

- High attention to detail and a proactive approach to financial management.

- Strong written and verbal communication skills.

- The ability to work effectively within a small, cooperative team.

Previous experience within mining, mineral processing or a similar operational environment would be advantageous but is not essential.
