Our client, a large, Federal Government Organisation responsible for health research, funding, promotion and regulation, require the services of a Forensic Data Analyst.

Duties

- Develop, maintain data extraction and analysis scripts to interrogate complex datasets.
- Analyse large volumes of data to identify trends, anomalies, emerging risks, and opportunities for improvement.
- Support incident and defect investigations through data analysis, root cause identification, and impact assessments.
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of data dictionaries, metadata, and documentation to improve data understanding and governance.
- Work collaboratively with business analysts, business architects, system analysts, testers, and subject matter experts to support system and business change activities.

Skills and Experience

- Demonstrated experience undertaking complex data analysis, including the identification of trends, anomalies and patterns within large and complex datasets.
- Demonstrated experience using analytical tools and techniques to investigate system,



transactional or user activity data and produce evidence-based insights to support operational or regulatory decision-making.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate analytical findings clearly to technical and non-technical audiences through reports, visualisations and briefings.
- Demonstrated experience working in government, regulatory, compliance, integrity, fraud, risk or assurance environments, including the management of sensitive information.
