Fundraising Campaigns Specialist - 18 Month Maternity Leave Contract

We're looking for a creative, organised and passionate Fundraising Campaigns Specialist to join our Fundraising & Marketing team at Ronald McDonald House Sydney.

This is an exciting opportunity to help deliver some of our biggest fundraising campaigns, including Walk Me Home, our signature Peer-to-Peer fundraising event raising approximately $1.5 million annually, while also helping us launch an exciting new fundraising initiative.

You'll also work across SWIM for Sick Kids, our fundraising appeals, Gift a Night and Regular Giving acquisition campaigns, helping us inspire more people to support families with ill or injured children.

We're looking for someone who loves making campaigns happen — someone who can turn an idea into a plan, bring people together, manage agencies and deadlines, and find ways to make fundraising campaigns even more successful.

And the best part? You don't need to be an expert in every area of fundraising. If you've got great campaign management skills, understand what makes people engage and love working with a cooperative team, we'd love to hear from you.

What You'll Be Doing

Reporting to our Fundraising Manager, you'll help plan, coordinate and deliver a diverse portfolio of fundraising campaigns.

Your responsibilities will include

- Walk Me Home: Project managing the fundraising campaign behind one of Sydney's major Peer-to-Peer fundraising events, including participant recruitment, activation, engagement and fundraising growth.

- New P2P Campaign: Helping develop and launch an exciting new fundraising campaign from the ground up.

- SWIM for Sick Kids: Coordinating the fundraising campaign, participant journeys and engagement activities.

- Fundraising Appeals: Managing the delivery of key appeals, including Tax, Christmas and Gift a Night.

- Regular Giving: Developing and coordinating campaigns to recruit new monthly donors.

- Supporter Journeys:

Working with the team to create engaging communications and experiences that inspire fundraisers and donors to give, stay involved and give again.

- Campaign Management: Developing briefs, timelines, budgets and campaign plans, and coordinating internal teams and external agencies.

- Fundraiser Engagement: Coordinating personalised stewardship activities, including phone calls, emails and other supporter touchpoints.

- Campaign Performance: Using data and insights to identify opportunities, improve results and help our campaigns grow.

You'll work closely with our Marketing & Communications team, fundraising colleagues, digital agencies and external event partners.

This is a fundraising campaign management role, not an event logistics role. You'll focus on growing fundraising income, engaging supporters and delivering great campaigns, while working alongside our events specialists who manage the operational side.

About You

We're looking for someone who is proactive, organised, collaborative and genuinely enjoys bringing campaigns to life.

Ideally, you'll bring:

- Experience in fundraising, campaign management, digital marketing or a similar role.

- Strong project management skills and the ability to juggle multiple campaigns and deadlines.

- Experience developing campaign briefs and coordinating internal teams or external agencies.

- An understanding of supporter engagement, customer journeys or fundraising communications.

- Confidence working with data and campaign results to identify improvements.

- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.

- A creative mindset and willingness to test new ideas.

- A positive, hands-on attitude and the ability to take ownership of projects.

Experience with fundraising platforms such as Funraisin, Salesforce or email marketing systems would be a bonus, but isn't essential.

Most importantly, we're looking for someone who can make things happen, enjoys working with people and wants to make a genuine difference.
