Have your own truck and hands-on removals experience? Escortio is looking for dependable contractors for part-time furniture moves and rubbish collections throughout Melbourne. This opportunity suits an established owner operator seeking additional assignments around their existing work.
Assignments may involve collecting and delivering furniture, protecting items during transit, loading and unloading safely, and clearing approved household rubbish and unwanted goods. Rubbish must go to an appropriate lawful disposal or recycling facility. Hazardous materials are outside this role.
Bring a registered and roadworthy truck, the correct driver licence, load restraints, protective blankets and suitable moving equipment. We are looking for an ABN, appropriate insurance for the vehicle and services, practical removalist experience and professional communication.
Only accept loads and lifting tasks that your vehicle, equipment and available crew can handle safely.
Contract rate: AUD $80-$110 per hour for the owner driver and their truck, with the final rate agreed according to truck size, experience and the assignment. The hourly rate includes normal truck running costs. Additional helpers, tip fees, tolls and applicable GST are to be agreed separately before work begins.
