A privately owned Australian consumer products supplier, with strong relationships across the country’s major retailers, is investing in its next chapter.

The strategy is set, the team is strong and the customer relationships run deep. What’s missing is a senior operator who connects the leadership vision with the day-to-day running of the business. The CEO and Managing Director will stay involved where they have the most impact, and will back you to run the business.

You’ll be joining a team who’ve worked together for a long time, so you’ll lead by earning trust first, then bringing them with you. This isn’t a role for someone who wants to rewrite the plan. It’s for someone who gets a real kick out of making a good business run brilliantly, while protecting the culture that makes it a great place to work.

What You’ll Be Doing

- Own the day-to-day as the go-to decision-maker, so the right calls get made quickly and closer to the work
- Design and roll out an operating rhythm, including a monthly S&OP; and 12-month retail calendar, that swaps firefighting for forward planning
- Lead, coach and back a team of specialist leaders, with clear roles, explicit KPIs and a high bar
- Own the P&L;, hunt down margin leakage and keep a close eye on stock and cash
- Partner with sales on customer plans and join the CEO and MD in key retailer meetings
- Lead the systems roadmap, building one source of truth the team can trust, and shape the structure and key hires for the next stage

What You’ll Bring

- Extensive senior leadership experience in Australian wholesale, consumer products or retail supply, including GM, COO or equivalent roles with full P&L; ownership




- Experience across a range of major retailers and categories, not just one
- Strong commercial instincts. You’re at home talking margin, stock and cash
- A track record of building process and rhythm that helps people rather than burying them in bureaucracy
- The ability to bring long-tenured specialists along on the journey, and to have the tough conversations when needed, fairly and decisively
- Highly regarded: experience working closely with a CEO and MD in a privately owned business, and offshore sourcing alongside local supply chain
