Ready to showcase your turf management skills on a premier stage? We are seeking an experienced Groundsperson to take pride in maintaining the City’s top-tier sporting and event venues. In this critical operational role, you will ensure the presentation, safety, and world-class functionality of C.ex Coffs International Stadium and its elite surrounding facilities. Duration: Immediate start to 18 December 2026
Hours: 38 hours per week
Hours of Work: Generally between 6:00am and 6:00pm, Monday to Friday, with flexibility required to support weekend, public holiday and event-related activities as needed.
Location: C.ex Coffs International Stadium and other City-managed sporting venues as required.
Key responsibilities
- Maintaining sports grounds, landscaped areas and venue facilities to a high standard
- Operating and maintaining grounds maintenance equipment, including ride-on mowers, tractors, and other gardening equipment
- Supporting event operations,
including set up and pack down of infrastructure, fencing, seating, signage, marquees, and sporting equipment
- Undertaking general facility maintenance, inspections, and minor repairs
- Working collaboratively with venue staff, contractors and event organisers to ensure venues are protected, functional and event ready
Essential Reqiurements:
- Current Construction Induction Card (White Card)
- Current Class C Driver Licence
- Demonstrated experience in grounds maintenance, gardening, lawn care or a similar field
- Experience operating gardening and maintenance plant, equipment and hand tools safely
- Ability to work effectively both independently and within a team environment
- 2 x work related references
- Ability to pass drug and alcohol test
