About the Role
We are seeking reliable and professional Healthcare Security Officers to join our team at a healthcare facility in the Western Suburbs.
The role is focused on maintaining a safe and secure environment for patients, staff, visitors and contractors. This is a permanent part time position working across a rotating roster.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain a safe and secure setting for patients, staff and visitors.
- Monitor the healthcare facility and respond to security incidents.
- Conduct regular patrols of designated areas.
- Respond appropriately to incidents, emergencies and security concerns.
- Assist healthcare staff with situations involving safety or security risks.
- Monitor access to restricted areas.
- Manage incidents professionally and calmly.
- Complete incident reports and security documentation accurately.
- Provide a professional and helpful presence throughout the facility.
- Work closely with healthcare staff, management and emergency services when required.
- Follow all site security procedures, policies and workplace health and safety requirements.
Requirements
- Current and valid security licence.
- Current and valid First Aid certificate and CPR.
- Fully vaccinated, including flu shot.
- Physically fit and able to perform prolonged standing and other static duties as required.
- Previous security experience, preferably in a healthcare or similar environment.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Professional, reliable and punctual.
- Ability to remain calm and qualified in challenging situations.
- Strong focus on patient and staff safety.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Availability to work a rotating roster, including weekends and public holidays.
