Most workshops want a pair of hands. We're looking for a mind that works, someone who takes ownership and knows their way around a truck. Daniels Automotive is a well-established, family-owned mechanical and auto electrical workshop located at 8 Foundry Road, Seven Hills.

With over 30 years in the industry, we've built our reputation on quality workmanship, reliability and looking after our customers and our team.

We're growing and looking for two qualified Heavy Vehicle Mechanics who know their trade, take pride in their work and enjoy being part of a hardworking crew.

NO TWO DAYS ARE THE SAME

If you're tired of servicing the same trucks day in, day out, you'll enjoy the variety at Daniels Automotive. We work across an extensive range of heavy vehicle makes, including:

Kenworth | Mack | DAF | Scania | Mercedes-Benz | Hino | Fuso | Western Star | Volvo | MAN | Isuzu

And we're not just talking about standard trucks.

Our workshop handles everything from small pantech trucks and delivery vehicles through to heavy-duty prime movers and specialised fleet equipment, including:

- Small pantech trucks and commercial delivery vehicles
- Rigid trucks, prime movers and heavy combinations
- Concrete pumps and concrete agitator trucks
- TMA (Truck Mounted Attenuator) vehicles
- VMS (Variable Message Sign) vehicles
- Waste collection trucks, vacuum trucks and tankers
- Tippers, tray trucks and specialised commercial vehicles
- Trailers and fleet support equipment

One day you could be diagnosing a Scania, the next repairing a concrete pump, working on a Kenworth or getting a TMA unit back on the road. It's genuine variety, with the opportunity to build your skills across different makes, models and applications.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING

We're a full-service workshop, so you'll be involved in a broad range of mechanical work, including:

- Heavy vehicle servicing, preventative maintenance and repairs
- Engine, transmission, clutch and driveline repairs
- Brake, suspension, steering and air system repairs




- Advanced fault finding and diagnostics
- DPF, emissions and engine management troubleshooting
- Fleet maintenance and mechanical repairs
- Breakdown response and roadside repairs for selected fleet customers
- On-site servicing, maintenance and repairs at customer depots and fleet locations
- Heavy vehicle inspections and defect rectification
- Working alongside our auto electrical team on complex faults
- Using modern diagnostic equipment and our in-house roller brake and shaker testing facilities

We're not limited to the workshop. We also provide breakdown assistance and on-site servicing for selected fleet customers, giving our mechanics the opportunity to work in different environments, tackle real-world challenges and keep essential fleets moving.

Whether it's a scheduled service in our workshop, maintenance at a customer's depot or getting a truck back on the road after a breakdown, you'll be part of a team that gets the job done.

WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR

We don't expect you to know everything, but we do expect you to know your trade, use your initiative and take pride in what you do.

We're after mechanics who

- Are trade-qualified Heavy Vehicle Mechanics (Certificate III or equivalent)
- Have solid, hands-on heavy vehicle workshop experience
- Can confidently diagnose faults rather than just replace parts
- Take ownership of their jobs from start to finish
- Can work independently without constant supervision
- Have common sense, initiative and a proactive attitude
- Work well in a team and are happy to lend a hand
- Are reliable, organised and take pride in quality workmanship
- Are adaptable and comfortable working both in the workshop and on-site
- Can have a laugh and contribute to a positive workshop environment

A current heavy vehicle licence is highly regarded,



and applicants living locally or within a reasonable commute of Seven Hills are encouraged to apply. We value attitude, ability and reliability just as much as experience.
