Ben & Jerry's Adelaide CBD, on the corner of Hindley and Blyth Streets, is hiring for three roles. Tell us which one you're applying for in your cover letter or email.

- Ice Cream Scoopers – 3–4 casual positions. Perfect first job, no experience needed.
- Ice Cream Cake Decorator – 1 casual position, moving to permanent for the right person.
- Store Manager – starts casual, with a pathway to a full time salaried role + super.

ICE CREAM SCOOPER (CASUAL)

Never had a job before? That's fine. We'll teach you everything: scooping the perfect cone, making shakes and sundaes, running the till and looking after customers. What we can't teach is attitude.

What you'll do

- Scoop, build and serve cones, cups, shakes and sundaes
- Help customers choose a flavour and offer tasters
- Take payments on the till
- Keep the counter, freezers and shop spotless
- Help with stock, opening and closing tasks

Your shifts

- Weekday afternoons and evenings, finishing by 10pm on school nights
- Friday and Saturday nights – we trade until 2am, with an adult supervisor on shift until close
- Weekends and school holidays
- At least 3 shifts per week, with rosters built around school or uni

What we're looking for

- Reliable and punctual – you turn up for every shift, on time
- Friendly with customers, or keen to learn
- Happy to take feedback and keep improving

CAKE DECORATOR (CASUAL, PATH TO PERMANENT) We make custom ice cream cakes for birthdays, weddings, functions and celebrations across Adelaide. You'll take an order ticket and turn it into a cake the customer remembers: clean finish, neat lettering, ready on time.

What you'll do





- Build and decorate ice cream cakes from order tickets – piping, lettering, toppings, colour and finish
- Work to pick-up times and keep production on schedule
- Keep the cake area, freezers and tools clean and food-safe
- Bring ideas for new and seasonal designs, and grow into other baked products as our range expands

Hours

- Shifts start from 11am, with occasional evening shifts for large or urgent orders

What we're looking for

- Real cake decorating experience, with a portfolio of cakes you decorated yourself
- Strong piping and lettering, and an eye for a clean finish
- Ice cream cake experience is a bonus – we'll train you on working with ice cream
- Organised, punctual and calm under deadlines

STORE MANAGER (CASUAL, PATHWAY TO FULL-TIME) We opened in May 2026 and we're growing: walk-in trade, custom cakes, parties, functions and late-night crowds until 2am on weekends. You'll lead the team from the floor, working directly with the owner.

What you'll do

- Lead, coach and motivate our casual crew and Team Leaders
- Run shifts to brand, service and food safety standards
- Build rosters and approve timesheets, keeping labour on budget
- Order stock, manage inventory and cut waste
- Handle cash, till reconciliation and end-of-day reporting
- Recruit, onboard and train new team members

What you need

- At least 1 year managing a team in hospitality, quick-service or retail




- A Food Safety Supervisor certificate issued in the last 5 years, or willingness to get one before you start
- Availability for late nights (Friday and Saturday until 2am) and weekends
- Full working rights in Australia
- Rostering and payroll experience (Tanda a bonus)
