About the Business

Our client, PREMIER DUCTS (QLD) PTY LTD, is seeking a qualified and analytical ICT Business Analyst to assess business requirements, analyse operational processes and support the effective implementation of information technology systems and solutions.

The successful applicant will work with users, management and technical personnel to identify business needs, evaluate existing systems and workflows, develop functional specifications and recommend improvements that enhance operational efficiency, system functionality and business performance.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

- Work with users and relevant stakeholders to formulate, analyse and document business requirements.
- Identify, investigate and analyse business processes, procedures and work practices to determine operational needs and system requirements.
- Identify and evaluate inefficiencies in existing business processes and recommend optimal business practices, system functionality and system behaviour.
- Apply project management methodologies, principles and techniques to develop project plans, estimate costs, allocate resources and manage project activities.
- Take responsibility for deploying functional solutions, including creating,



adopting and implementing system test plans to ensure acceptable system quality and integrity.
- Create user documentation and training materials, and conduct formal training sessions to support effective system implementation and use.
- Develop functional specifications for use by system developers in designing and implementing software solutions.
- Use data and process modelling techniques to prepare explicit system specifications for the design and development of system software.
- Act as a central reference and information source, providing guidance and assistance to stakeholders throughout the system project's decision-making process.

Skills and Experience Required The successful applicant must have:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher qualification in Information Technology, Information Systems, Computer Science, Business Information Systems or a closely related field.
- Minimum 3 years of relevant work experience as an ICT Business Analyst, Systems Analyst, Business Analyst or in a similar role.
- Experience in business requirements gathering, process analysis, functional specification development and system implementation.
- Knowledge of project planning, system testing, data modelling and process modelling techniques.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication and documentation skills.
