Role Description Our Information Technology Level 1 Support Technician role is a full-time, on-site role based in our Toowong office. This role is responsible for providing responsive first-line hands-on support for our clients end user computing environments, including installation, configuration, and ongoing support and maintenance. You will be the initial point of contact for incidents and service requests, accurately managing tickets in ServiceDesk, troubleshooting issues across phone, email, face-to-face and onsite support, and escalating more complex matters to the appropriate technical specialist, supplier or partner.

The role includes installing, configuring, monitoring and maintaining hardware, software, networks and related infrastructure. You will assist with software deployments, patching, upgrades, system checks, change control,



fault resolution and the secure decommissioning of equipment, while maintaining clear operational procedures and identifying opportunities to improve products, platforms and service delivery.

You will work collaboratively across our Technology Services and other teams, sharing technical knowledge, supporting colleagues and contributing to a culture of service excellence and continuous improvement. The position also requires accurate and timely completion of timesheets and reports, professional engagement with clients and suppliers, effective communication of operational risks, and practical recommendations to improve business processes and systems.

Candidates should possess

- Strong Technical Support and Troubleshooting skills for end-user devices and common software issues.
- Skills in supporting Desktop Computers, including installation, configuration, and routine maintenance.
- Strong communication skills, customer service focus, and the ability to work collaboratively
- Relevant qualifications such as a certificate or diploma in Information Technology, or similar are beneficial.
- Experience with networking concepts, and ticketing/help desk systems is advantageous.
- Industry certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Microsoft, or similar) are also a plus.
