Wildflora is seeking a Landscape Assistant to join our dynamic team in Perth, WA. This is a full-time position based in Perth WA 6000. As a Landscape Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting our landscape projects from conception through completion.
You will work alongside experienced landscapers and supervisors to develop your skills whilst contributing to the creation of beautiful outdoor spaces for our clients. This is an excellent opportunity to build a rewarding career in the gardening and landscaping industry.
Key responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation and maintenance of landscape sites, including site clearing, levelling and ground preparation
- Support the installation of landscape features such as pathways, paving, planting beds and garden structures
- Assist with the planting and positioning of plants, shrubs and trees according to design specifications
- Operate and maintain basic landscaping tools and equipment safely and effectively
- Help maintain high standards of worksite cleanliness and organisation
- Assist with the removal and disposal of waste materials and garden debris
- Support landscape maintenance activities including weeding, mulching, edging and general garden upkeep
- Follow all health and safety protocols and contribute to a protected working environment
- Work collaboratively with team members to meet project deadlines and client expectations
What we're looking for
- Physical fitness and capability to perform manual labour in outdoor conditions
- Willingness to learn and develop skills in gardening and landscaping practices
- Reliable,
punctual and committed to maintaining high work standards
- Ability to follow instructions and work safely with hand tools and basic machinery
- Good communication skills and ability to work effectively as part of a team
- A positive attitude and enthusiasm for outdoor work
- Current driver's licence essential
- Previous experience in landscaping, gardening or construction is advantageous
- Knowledge of relevant health and safety regulations is preferred
