Our client is an established, family oriented landscape design and construction business in Melbourne’s north west. Around 45 staff, more than ten years of quality residential builds and work that has featured on national television. People stay because the structure is strong, the support is real and the Director mentors his team.

We’re looking for a switched-on landscaper team leader who knows their way around a residential landscaping site, takes pride in the finished product and can get the best out of a crew.

This isn’t a role where you’ll be stuck behind a desk.

You’ll be on the tools, running your sites, coordinating your crew and making sure every project is delivered to a high standard.

You’ll have the backing of an experienced Project Manager, the gear you need to do the job and the opportunity to step up into Project Management as you prove yourself.

What you’ll be doing

You’ll be the go to person on site, working closely with the Project Manager to keep jobs organised, crews productive and clients happy.

Day to day, you’ll be:

- Getting hands on with hard and soft landscaping.
- Reading plans, setting out jobs and making sure the finished product is spot on.
- Leading, supporting and allocating work to a crew of 2-5.
- Planning daily tasks and coordinating work across 1-3 active sites.
- Organising materials, plant,



suppliers and subcontractors.
- Keeping projects on schedule and flagging issues before they become bigger problems.
- Communicating with homeowners and representing the business professionally.
- Maintaining safe worksites and completing the required safety paperwork.
- Keeping the Project Manager updated on progress, variations and defects.

What you’ll bring

You don’t need to know everything, but you do need to know your trade, take pride in your work and be ready to lead from the front.

We’re looking for someone with:

- Ideally 2-4 years working in the landscape/construction sector, with 5+ years highly regarded.
- Experience leading a crew or stepping up to supervise on site.
- Solid hard and soft landscaping skills.
- The ability to read plans, set out accurately and deliver quality finishes.
- Good organisation and the ability to keep people, materials and timelines on track.
- A practical, can do attitude and the confidence to make decisions on site.
- A current White Card and full driver licence.

Experience with Gantt charts, MS Project or similar scheduling tools is an advantage, as is a Certificate III in Landscape Construction.

Premium residential landscaping experience and knowledge of subcontractor coordination will also be highly regarded.
