We are seeking experienced and passionate Landscapers, Horticulturists and experienced and passionate Groundsman to work across our two wedding venues located in Luskintyre & Lovedale, Hunter Valley This is a unique opportunity to take ownership of the gardens, and grounds, at a high-end destination venue, where immaculate presentation, seasonal beauty, and attention to detail are essential.

About the positions:

You will be responsible for the ongoing care, development, and presentation of extensive landscaped gardens, and grounds, that form the backdrop to weddings and events year-round. The role requires both hands-on gardening expertise and a strong horticultural eye. You will also be part of a skilled team and be a part of the construction and projects, as well as the regular maintenance of the venues.

There are multiple positions available.

Arborists also encouraged to apply.

Qualifications are desirable, but not essential.

Horticulturist/Landscaper roles:

Key Responsibilities

- Projects and development
- Being part of a skilled team and assisting with the continuous projects and landscape construction of both venues.
- Tree maintenance, removal and pruning.
- Maintenance of formal and informal gardens, lawns, hedges, and feature plantings
- Plant health
- Pruning, planting, mulching, fertilising, and soil improvement
- Seasonal garden planning to ensure peak presentation for events
- Irrigation management and water-wise practices
- Pest and disease identification and control
- General grounds maintenance to a high aesthetic standard
- Thinking outside the box liaising with the estates manager on future/upcoming projects
- Working independently and proactively, with pride in presentation
- Assisting groundsman, if need be.

Groundsman role:

Key Responsibilities

- Maintenance of grounds and to the highest standard including projects
- Responsible for ensuring the general grounds are up to standard,



clean and maintained
- Responsible for turf health and implementation of fertilising programs
- Weed control in turf
- Assisting with general gardening and projects when needed
- Irrigation knowledge and skills would be highly regarded
- Machinery/tool checks and maintenance
- Job tasks such as, mowing, snipping, hedging, pruning, mulching, gutter cleaning drain cleaning, pool and spa maintenance
- Working independently and proactively, with pride in presentation

About you:

- Minimum 2 years' experience as a Landscaper or horticulturist
- Minimum 2 years' experience as a groundsman.
- Plant knowledge, including ornamental, structural, and seasonal plantings is a bonus
- Experience maintaining gardens to a premium or commercial standard
- Experience maintaining grounds to a premium or commercial standard
- Experience operating grounds machinery/tools, such a zero turn mowers, self propelled mowers, hedgers, chainsaws, brush cutters.
- Physically fit and comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions
- Excellent attention to detail and time management skills
- Reliable, self-motivated, and able to work with minimal supervision.
- Relevant horticultural qualification for gardening role
