About the Company

Our client is a leading investment management group with a diverse portfolio across listed securities, property, digital currency assets, fixed income, private equity, and venture capital.

The Role An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced legal professional to join the existing Legal and Company Secretarial team. In this high-impact role you will provide legal and regulatory advice pertaining to investment products and corporate operations, including oversight of AFSL obligations and regulatory engagement. The role will also provide general commercial legal advice to the group and play a lead role in the negotiation and review of contracts with clients and third-party providers.

Key Responsibilities

- Provide advice on fund structuring, establishment and operations across a broad range of asset classes;
- Provide legal support for innovative investment products;
- Provide technical input on regulatory and legal questions, particularly in relation to investment trusts;
- Conduct service provider due diligence;




- Prepare ASIC and ASX submissions;
- Draft and review constitutions, PDSs, IMAs and other legal documentation;
- Advise on internal governance, corporate structuring and policy development;
- Manage leasing, IT, insurance and procurement agreements;
- Handle disputes and litigation as required.

Skills and Experience

- 7+ years’ post-qualification legal experience in funds management, financial services, or top-tier legal practice;
- Solid knowledge of funds management regulations, AFSL frameworks, and ASIC/ASX regulatory requirements;
- Familiarity with traditional fund structures;
- Exceptional legal drafting and negotiation skills;
- Strong understanding of disclosure and compliance obligations;
- Proven ability to engage with regulators and advise executive stakeholders.
