Our client's Sydney insurance team is looking for a Senior Associate to take carriage of defendant liability matters from first instructions through to resolution. You will act for insurers, self-insureds and government clients, with the independence to run your own files and the backing of principals when a matter needs it.

About the role
A mix of injury, property damage and institutional liability claims for insurers and self-insureds.
- Take carriage of defendant liability files end to end
- Report to clients and manage claims strategy
- Supervise and guide junior lawyers on your matters
- Pick up coverage questions as they arise
- Work closely with principals on larger or more sensitive files
What you'll bring
- Roughly 4 to 8 years' post-admission experience in defendant insurance or liability litigation
- Confidence running your own files without close supervision
- Solid client relationship skills
- A problem-solving approach that values teamwork
- A current Australian practising certificate
- $135K to $170K + super, with a path to Special Counsel
- Manage your own files with real client and claims contact
- A large national practice with deep insurer relationships
