Our client is a leading global investment management business undergoing a significant operational transformation and growth. Based in Sydney, this role offers the opportunity to take on a key leadership position within Operations and contribute to this transformation.

As Manager, Fund and Investment Operations, you will act as 2IC to the Senior Manager, leading a small team across day-to-day investment and fund operations. You will oversee operational priorities, incident resolution and service provider performance, ensuring timely delivery and strong controls across the investment lifecycle, reconciliations, corporate actions and NAV oversight. You'll work closely with teams across the business, driving process improvements, developing team capability and supporting on automation and AI initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

- Lead day-to-day Investment and Fund Operations activities, ensuring service delivery, operational controls and key deadlines are met.
- Act as the operational 2IC to the Senior Manager, coordinating BAU priorities, managing incidents and providing clear stakeholder communications.
- Take ownership of operational queries and escalations, investigating issues, coordinating internal expertise and guiding the team through resolution.
- Oversee investment operations including trade administration, matching and settlements, corporate actions, reconciliations and investment data management.
- Oversee fund operations activities including NAV oversight, fund tax, distributions, performance fees and exception management.
- Manage relationships with custodians,



fund administrators and internal stakeholders across Investments, Product, Risk and Compliance.
- Drive process improvement, automation and AI-enabled initiatives to improve efficiency, scalability and control effectiveness.
- Develop team capability through coaching, cross-training and an approachable leadership style that builds confidence and independent problem-solving.

Skills & Experience:

- Extensive experience across Investment Operations and Fund Administration, with strong technical fund administration expertise.
- In-house portfolio administration experience is highly regarded, alongside a sound understanding of the investment lifecycle.
- Robust technical knowledge of NAV oversight, fund tax, distributions, performance fees and operational controls.
- Proven ability to investigate operational issues, exercise sound judgement and resolve complex queries and escalations.
- People leadership experience or clear management potential, with a supportive, adaptable approach to coaching and developing teams.
- Strong stakeholder management skills and the confidence to operate autonomously in a fast-paced environment.
- Exposure to automation, transformation or change initiatives within investment and fund operations.
- Experience with Aladdin is highly regarded.
