NEPEAN Longwall® (a division of NEPEAN™) partners with its customers to design, engineer, integrate, and support longwall equipment and systems. With purpose-built facilities located in both Queensland and New South Wales, NEPEAN Longwall offers a full suite of after-sales services enabling it to support products throughout their life cycle. Due to continued growth and a strong project pipeline, we are seeking experienced Mechanical Fitters to join our team in Kurri Kurri, NSW.

Opportunities are available on both permanent and fixed-term contracts, with AM and PM shift options available.

The Role Working within a highly skilled workshop team, you will be responsible for:

- Assembly and overhaul of underground mining equipment
- Refurbishment and repair of longwall components
- Mechanical maintenance and fault finding
- Reading and interpreting engineering drawings
- Maintaining safety and quality standards
- Supporting apprentices and workshop activities as required

About You

- Mechanical Fitter Trade Qualification or equivalent
- Experience in mining, manufacturing, heavy industry or industrial maintenance
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
- Commitment to safety, quality and teamwork
- Full working rights in Australia

Highly Regarded

- Longwall or underground mining experience
- Forklift Licence
- Overhead Crane Ticket
- Experience with Roof Supports, AFCs or BSLs
