Victoria District Medical Centre is looking for a Medical Receptionist who has the ability to work well within a team environment. We are a very busy practice and require the right person who is reliable, efficient, resilient and diligent in all aspects required in this role.

Job type: Full time and Part-time hours available, Monday - Friday.

Applicants with previous administration experience is preferred.

Role Description including but not limited to:

Front desk reception duties

Answering incoming calls and making appointment bookings for practice Doctors and Clinicians

Handling of eftpos and other payments

Providing a high standard of customer service

Patient billing and invoicing to other medical providers

Managing confidential medical records

Essential skills, experience & knowledge:

Must have excellent interpersonal and communication skills,



the ability to communicate at all levels and maintain patient and practice confidentiality at all times.

Ability to work under pressure in a calm and professional manner.

Experience in Best Practice Medical software (preferred).

Strong organisational and time management skills along with being productive when working autonomously.

Computer literate and troubleshooting abilities.

Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.

Possess a flexible approach to tasks and a strong work ethic.
