We're looking for an experienced, confident, and professional saleswoman to join our team as a Membership Sales Consultant. This is not an entry-level retail position. We are seeking a mature sales professional who thrives on achieving targets, building relationships, and converting leads into long-term members.

About the Role

As a Membership Sales Consultant, you will play a key role in driving club growth through proactive lead generation, sales conversion, member retention, and outstanding customer service. You will be the first point of contact for prospective and existing members, representing the Fernwood brand with professionalism, confidence, and enthusiasm.

Key responsibilities include

- Converting enquiries into memberships through effective sales conversations and follow-up.
- Conducting club tours and presenting the value of Fernwood's services and programs.
- Generating new business opportunities within the local community.
- Meeting and exceeding membership sales targets and KPIs.
- Managing member enquiries via phone, email, social media, and face-to-face interactions.
- Building strong relationships with members and creating an exceptional customer experience.
- Front desk and reception duties.
- Administrative tasks, data management, and member communications.
- Assisting with club marketing initiatives, member engagement, and community outreach activities.

About You

You are a mature, confident,



and highly motivated sales professional who enjoys connecting with people and influencing positive decisions. You are comfortable initiating conversations, overcoming objections, and asking for the sale. Most importantly, you have a proven sales background and understand the discipline required to consistently achieve performance targets.

Essential Skills & Experience

- Proven sales experience with demonstrated success achieving and exceeding targets.
- Experience in membership sales, fitness sales, outbound sales, consultative sales, or a similar results-driven environment.
- Strong closing, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to confidently engage prospects over the phone and face-to-face.
- Proven ability to follow sales processes, manage pipelines, and nurture leads.
- High level of personal maturity, professionalism, and accountability.
- Strong organisational and administrative skills.
- Positive attitude and ability to work as part of a high-performing team.

Important Note

This role requires a genuine sales mindset and the ability to consistently achieve sales outcomes. We are specifically seeking someone with a proven history of meeting sales targets, generating business, and converting opportunities into results.

Availability

Flexibility to work across a rotating roster Monday to Saturday, between 9:00am and 7:00pm, including some Saturday mornings.
