This varied role involves site measuring, preparing workshop drawings and installing custom aluminium and steel work, including balustrades, stairs, gates, screens and pergolas.
Key responsibilities
- Carry out site measurements and confirm fixing details
- Prepare accurate fabrication drawings, material lists and cutting lists
- Produce DXF files for laser cutting
- Read and interpret architectural and engineering drawings
- Work closely with the fabrication team to ensure jobs fit and install correctly
- Complete site installations with attention to alignment, finish and quality
- Coordinate with builders and site supervisors
About you
- CAD drafting experience, ideally within metal fabrication
- Hands-on experience installing aluminium and steel metalwork
- A practical understanding of fabrication methods and site fixings
- Robust attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- The ability to work independently and communicate clearly
- A current driver's licence and Construction White Card
