OHS Advisor: Help workplaces get safety right, for people and for business

At Anitech, our mission is simple: protect people, business, environment and data so our clients can face the future with peace of mind.

Founded in Melbourne almost 20 years ago, we are a leading risk and compliance advisory business working across Australia and Recent Zealand. We consult in ISO management systems, occupational hygiene, WHS/OHS and technology, and we built Lahebo, our risk and compliance platform for small and medium-sized businesses. We challenge the traditional consulting model by working as a true strategic partner to our clients.

We are looking for an OHS Advisor who is technically strong, great with people and ready to own client engagements from scoping to final report.

What you’ll do

- OHS practice and compliance: advise clients on their WHS/OHS management systems, explain Victorian OHS and harmonised WHS laws in practical terms, facilitate risk assessments and lead incident investigations.
- Internal audits: audit OHS management systems against ISO 45001 and the law, write transparent, evidence-based reports and track corrective actions to close-out.
- Psychosocial risk assessments: run confidential surveys, focus groups and interviews, and help clients meet the OHS (Psychological Health) Regulations 2025 (Vic) and WHS codes with controls that change how work is designed.
- Consultation: help clients genuinely involve workers, HSRs and health and safety committees,

and facilitate the workshops that make it happen.

What you’ll bring

- A Diploma, Advanced Diploma or bachelor’s degree in WHS/OHS (or equivalent)
- ISO 45001 lead auditor or internal auditor training
- 2–5 years’ WHS/OHS advisory, consulting or practitioner experience, including risk assessment, incident investigation and writing OHS policies and procedures
- Experience auditing OHS management systems against ISO 45001 and/or legal requirements
- Sound working knowledge of Victorian OHS laws and the harmonised WHS laws
- Strong written and verbal communication, with excellent report writing and presentation skills
- A current, full Australian driver’s licence

Psychosocial risk assessment experience, Exemplar Global auditor certification, Certified OHS Professional (AIHS) status or experience supporting HSRs and HSCs will help you stand out.

What’s in it for you

- Hybrid working: 2–3 days a week in our Notting Hill office.
- Variety and travel: four practice areas, with regular visits to client sites across Victoria and interstate.
- Autonomy with backup: own your engagements, supported by our Occupational Hygiene Lead and a team of experienced consultants.
- Room to grow: agreed career development and support to keep your auditor credentials current.
- Purpose and values: a team that puts customers first and holds itself to high ethical and professional standards.
