About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Operations Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of our licensed club, ensuring exceptional hospitality, seamless service delivery and a welcoming environment for our members and guests.

Working across bar, gaming, food and beverage, facilities and functions, you will play a key role in driving operational performance, maintaining compliance and identifying opportunities to improve the way we work. You will bring a strong commercial mindset, a passion for hospitality and the ability to balance operational demands with the delivery of high-quality service.

What You'll Be Doing

As our Operations Manager, you'll play a key role in the day-to-day success of the Club.

- Lead Daily Operations: Oversee the smooth running of club operations across bar, gaming, food and beverage, front-of-house and facilities, ensuring consistent service standards and operational efficiency.
- Lead and Develop Your Team: Recruit, train, coach and support team members, fostering a positive, accountable and service-focused culture.
- Deliver Exceptional Hospitality: Champion outstanding customer service, respond to feedback and resolve complaints professionally to enhance member and guest satisfaction.
- Drive Compliance and Safety: Ensure compliance with liquor licensing, gaming, work health and safety and other relevant legislative requirements,



maintaining accurate records and safe operating practices.
- Manage Rostering and Resources: Support effective workforce planning, rostering and scheduling to ensure appropriate coverage and efficient service delivery.
- Oversee Stock and Financial Performance: Manage inventory, ordering, stock control and operational expenditure, supporting cost control and overall profitability.
- Manage Gaming and Administration: Oversee relevant accounting and operational procedures across bar and gaming areas, including TAB and Keno, alongside point-of-sale systems, reporting and record-keeping.
- Coordinate Events and Promotions: Support the planning and delivery of functions, entertainment and promotional activities that attract new members and strengthen engagement with existing members.
- Improve and Innovate: Identify opportunities to streamline processes, enhance the customer experience and continually improve operational standards.
- Champion BRC’s Values: Lead by example, demonstrating professionalism, integrity, accountability and pride in everything you do.

What We’re Looking For

We’re looking for a confident and capable leader who combines strong operational management skills with a genuine passion for hospitality and customer service.

To be successful in this role, you will bring:

- Demonstrated experience in operations management within the hospitality or licensed club industry.
- Previous experience leading, developing and motivating a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Current Responsible Management of Licensed Venues (RMLV) and Responsible Service of Gambling (RSG) qualifications.
- A sound understanding of liquor licensing, gaming compliance, work health and safety and relevant regulatory requirements.
- Strong commercial acumen, including experience managing budgets, stock, expenditure and operational performance.




- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships and manage challenging situations professionally.
- Strong organisational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to prioritise competing demands and meet deadlines.
- Confidence using Microsoft Office, point-of-sale systems and other relevant operational software.
- Flexibility to work across evenings, weekends and public holidays in line with racing activities and event requirements.
- A Diploma in Hospitality Management, Business Administration or a related field, together with experience in venue or events management, will be highly regarded.
