As our business continues to grow, we're looking for a commercially driven Operations Manager – Traffic Management to take ownership of our Newcastle and Hunter division and lead its next stage of growth.

About the Chance

We're not looking for someone to simply manage the work we already have. We're looking for someone who can grow the division, build the team and take ownership of its success.

This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious Operations Manager who thinks like a business owner and understands how to turn quality service delivery into commercial success.

You'll have responsibility for the division's operations, profitability, client relationships and business growth, with the autonomy to make decisions, improve processes and build a high-performing team.

We want someone who sees opportunities, takes initiative and has the drive to take an established division to the next level.

Key Responsibilities

- Business Growth: Identify and secure new business opportunities, strengthen client relationships and grow our market presence across Newcastle and the Hunter.
- Commercial Performance: Take ownership of revenue, gross margins, pricing, cost control and divisional profitability.
- Quality Delivery: Ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently and to consistently high standards, exceeding client expectations.
- Operational Leadership: Oversee scheduling, workforce allocation, equipment, resources and overall operational performance.
- Team Development: Build, lead and mentor a high-performing team, creating a culture of accountability, ownership and continuous improvement.
- Strategic Growth: Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, expand services and implement systems that support sustainable growth.
- Safety & Compliance:



Maintain high standards of WHS, quality and compliance with applicable traffic management requirements.

About You We're looking for a leader who knows how to run an operation, grow a business and build a team around them.

You'll bring

- Proven management experience within traffic management, civil construction or infrastructure.
- Strong commercial acumen, with an understanding of revenue, gross margins, budgets and profitability.
- Demonstrated business development experience and the ability to build lasting client relationships.
- A track record of delivering quality operational outcomes and exceptional client service.
- Strong leadership skills, with experience building and developing successful teams.
- Sound knowledge of traffic management operations, TfNSW requirements and relevant safety standards.
- A proactive, solutions-focused approach and the confidence to make decisions and take accountability.
- A current NSW driver's licence and White Card. Relevant traffic management qualifications will be highly regarded.
