PROCLAD INDUSTRIES PTY LTD is seeking a skilled and experienced Painter and Decorator to join our team in Geelong. The successful candidate will undertake a range of painting and decorating activities, ensuring high-quality finishes across residential, commercial and industrial projects.
Key responsibilities
- Preparing and restoring surfaces by correcting defects and ensuring smooth finishes.
- Setting up scaffolding, ladders and protective coverings.
- Selecting and mixing paints to achieve required colours.
- Applying paints, varnishes and stains using brushes, rollers and spray equipment.
- Painting interior and exterior residential and commercial surfaces.
- Performing decorative finishes on walls, ceilings and timberwork.
- Undertaking roof, fence and building facade painting.
- Installing wallpaper with accurate alignment and trimming.
- Applying primers, sealants and protective coatings.
- Inspecting finished work,
cleaning tools and maintaining site safety.
About you
- Relevant Certificate III in Painting and Decorating or equivalent qualification.
- Minimum 12 months of relevant work experience preferred.
- Sound knowledge of painting techniques, surface preparation and finishing methods.
- Ability to operate painting tools, spray equipment and access equipment safely.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently or within a team.
- Good understanding of workplace health and safety requirements.
