The Panel

Beater will repair and replace damaged vehicle body panels, straighten frames, and restore vehicles to manufacturer standards using appropriate tools and equipment.

Responsibilities include assessing damage, preparing repair estimates, performing cutting, welding, sanding, and filling, and ensuring high-quality finishes in collaboration with spray painters. The role involves following safety procedures, maintaining a clean and organized work area, and adhering to workshop timelines and quality standards.

The Panel

Beater will also communicate with supervisors and colleagues to coordinate repairs and support efficient workflow.

Qualifications

- Demonstrated experience in panel beating, including body repair, replacement of panels, and frame straightening.




- Proficiency in using workshop tools and equipment such as welders, grinders, sanders, and measuring devices.
- Strong understanding of vehicle structures, body materials, and manufacturer repair specifications.
- Ability to perform accurate damage assessments and contribute to repair estimates.
- Commitment to safety standards, quality workmanship, and attention to detail in all repairs.
- Relevant trade qualification or apprenticeship in automotive body repair or panel beating.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a workshop environment and follow repair schedules and instructions.
