Lawson Elliott is partnering with a highly reputable market leader on an exciting opportunity to join their finance team as aPayroll Officer. We are looking for a confident professional who is passionate about payroll and enjoys working in a dynamic finance environment. This is a standalone position where you will take ownership of the day-to-day payroll function while also working closely with the wider finance team. This is a great opportunity for someone who takes pride in delivering accurate and effective payroll and is looking to play a key role within a well-established business. Reporting to the Finance Manager, your key responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Weekly payroll processing
- Managing payroll workflows, leave approvals and employee changes
- Processing new starter documentation and on boarding details
- Preparing payroll reports and maintaining accurate payroll records
- Ensuring payroll compliance with legislation and company policies
- Calculating terminations, redundancies and payroll adjustments
- Managing month-end and year-end payroll reporting




- Identifying opportunities to improve payroll processes and efficiencies
- Liaising with internal and external stakeholders to resolve payroll queries
- Managing the payroll inbox and employee enquiries

Ideal Candidate:
- 3+ years’ experience as a Payroll Officer or similar payroll-focused role
- Strong attention to detail with a high level of accuracy
- Confident communication skills with the ability to liaise with stakeholders
- Strong time management and organisational skills
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of a collaborative team
- Proactive mindset with an interest in improving processes and systems
- Experience using HRIS and time & attendance systems
