About the role

We are seeking enthusiastic and reliable Pharmacy Assistants/Dispensing Technicians to join our team at TerryWhite Chemmart in Balwyn, VIC. This is a casual position that offers flexibility whilst contributing meaningfully to our pharmacy operations. In this role, you will play a vital part in supporting our pharmacists and ensuring that our customers receive excellent service and accurate dispensing of medications.

Your work will directly impact patient safety and satisfaction, making you an essential member of our healthcare team.

What you'll be doing

- Assisting with the accurate dispensing and labelling of prescriptions under the supervision of a qualified pharmacist
- Maintaining and organising pharmacy stock, including receiving and checking deliveries
- Providing customer service at the pharmacy counter, answering enquiries and processing transactions
- Preparing and packing medications according to prescription requirements and pharmacy protocols
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date pharmacy records and documentation
- Supporting the pharmacist with general pharmacy duties and administrative tasks
- Ensuring compliance with pharmacy legislation, regulations and safety standards
- Maintaining a clean, hygienic and organised pharmacy environment
- Assisting with stock rotation and inventory management

What we're looking for

- A relevant qualification as a Pharmacy Assistant or Dispensing Technician, or willingness to work towards one
- Strong attention to detail with excellent numerical and organisational skills
- Ability to follow instructions precisely and work methodically to ensure accuracy
- Good communication skills and a genuine desire to provide excellent customer service




- Reliability and punctuality, with the ability to work flexibly on a casual basis
- Basic computer literacy and familiarity with pharmacy software systems (preferred)
- A commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and adhering to pharmacy standards
- Physical capability to perform tasks such as standing for extended periods, reaching and lifting
- Willingness to learn and develop knowledge of medications and pharmacy practices
