We are seeking an organised and reliable Pharmacy Stock Controller to support our stock operations and customer service.
About the position
Accurate stock management is essential to the daily operation of our pharmacy. In this role, you will help ensure deliveries are processed promptly, stock records are accurate and products are stored and presented correctly.
Reporting to the Pharmacy Owners and Retail Manager, you will work alongside our retail and dispensary teams. The position also includes general Pharmacy Assistant duties and direct customer service.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Receiving deliveries, checking products and quantities against invoices, and reporting discrepancies.
- Putting away stock promptly and maintaining organised shelves, storage and receiving areas.
- Rotating stock, conducting expiry checks and replenishing shelves.
- Processing invoices and maintaining accurate receiving records using pharmacy systems.
- Monitoring out-of-stock products and backorders, following up as directed and communicating updates to the team.
- Assisting customers,
processing sales and receiving prescriptions for the dispensary team.
- Referring health and medicine enquiries to the pharmacist.
- Following pharmacy procedures for stock handling, privacy, safety and store presentation.
About you
This position will suit someone who works accurately, manages their time effectively and takes responsibility for completing tasks.
We are looking for:
- Strong attention to detail, particularly when checking quantities, product information and invoices.
- Valuable organisational skills and the ability to prioritise tasks in a busy environment.
- Confidence using computers and learning new systems.
- Professional communication and a friendly approach to customer service.
- Reliability, initiative and the ability to work cooperatively with colleagues.
- A willingness to follow procedures, complete training and seek guidance when required.
The role involves standing, replenishing shelves and safely handling stock.
Experience in pharmacy, retail, stock handling or invoice processing will be well regarded.
