About the role

We are seeking a passionate and skilled Pizza Chef to join the team at Cugini & Co in Abbotsbury, NSW. This is a full-time position where you will be at the heart of our kitchen, crafting authentic and delicious pizzas that delight our customers. As a Pizza Chef, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the quality and consistency of our culinary offerings, contributing directly to the success and reputation of our restaurant.

Your expertise and dedication will be essential in delivering an exceptional dining experience to our valued guests.

What you'll be doing

- Preparing and cooking pizzas to order using traditional techniques and premium ingredients

- Maintaining the pizza ovens and associated cooking equipment in optimal working condition

- Following established recipes and plating standards to ensure consistency across all dishes

- Managing food preparation, including dough preparation, sauce making, and ingredient portioning

- Working efficiently during peak service periods whilst maintaining high quality standards

- Monitoring food quality and implementing proper food handling and hygiene protocols

- Collaborating with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations and timely food delivery

What we're looking for

- Proven experience as a Pizza Chef

- Robust knowledge of traditional pizza-making techniques and authentic ingredients

- Proficiency in operating and maintaining pizza ovens and other commercial kitchen equipment

- Excellent understanding of food safety, hygiene standards





- Ability to work efficiently under pressure and during peak service times

- Strong organisational and time-management skills with attention to detail
- A passion for quality food preparation and culinary excellence

- Excellent teamwork and communication skills

- Physical capability to stand for extended periods

- Relevant food handling qualifications or the ability to obtain them

- Ideally, experience with Italian cuisine or Mediterranean cooking traditions

- Ability to work weekends, evenings and public holidays as required
