Tweed Surgery is seeking a Practice Nurse to join our family friendly healthcare team in Tweed Heads, NSW. This is a casual role to start with 4 days per week, hours are 8.30 to 3.00 and 8.00 to 3.00 when not in daylight savings time. Must be able to cover sick leave and annual leave.
What you'll be doing
- Providing nursing care to patients, including administering medication, dressing wounds, and conducting health assessments
- Assisting doctors with examinations and procedures
- Collaborating with the healthcare team to develop and implement patient care plans
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date patient records
- Ensuring the practice's clinical environment and equipment are well-maintained and compliant with relevant regulations
- Participating in continuous professional development to stay informed of industry best practices
What we're looking for
- Registered Nurse or Enrolled nurse with a current Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) registration
- Enjoys working independently as well as part of a team
- Strong clinical skills and the ability to work autonomously
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a patient-centric approach
- Proficient in using electronic medical records and other healthcare technologies
- Commitment to continuous learning and career development
