You will also collaborate with engineers, designers and other stakeholders to ensure design solutions are coordinated, technically sound and suitable for construction.

Key Responsibilities





- Develop piping layouts, plant designs, 3D models and detailed design documentation in accordance with project requirements and design specifications.
- Contribute to projects across Long Energy's Oil and Gas, New Energy, Pipelines and BioGas portfolios.
- Deliver piping design solutions across relevant project phases, from concept development and detailed design through to procurement support, construction and commissioning.
- Develop practical, constructible and fit-for-purpose designs that meet client requirements, project objectives and safe design principles.
- Apply industry-standard design tools, including AutoCAD Plant 3D, OpenPlant, Smart 3D, E3D, PDMS or equivalent platforms.
- Review and navigate Navisworks models to support design coordination, identify potential clashes and resolve interface issues.
- Ensure piping designs comply with applicable standards, codes, specifications and project requirements.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering and design teams, clients, contractors and external stakeholders to achieve coordinated design outcomes.
- Contribute to design reviews, constructability assessments and continuous improvement in design quality and delivery.

About You

You are an experienced Piping Designer with strong technical capability, attention to detail and a practical approach to developing safe, efficient and constructible design solutions.



You enjoy working collaboratively across disciplines and can translate engineering requirements into accurate, coordinated design deliverables.

To be successful in this role, you will have:

- Approximately 5–15 years of relevant piping design experience.
- Experience delivering piping design solutions within consulting, EPCM or project delivery environments.
- Strong experience in piping layouts, plant design, 3D modelling and detailed design documentation.
- Proficiency in industry-standard piping design software such as AutoCAD Plant 3D, OpenPlant, Smart 3D, E3D, PDMS or equivalent.
- Familiarity with navigating and reviewing Navisworks models.
- A sound understanding of piping design standards, codes, specifications and safe design principles.
- The ability to develop practical, constructible and fit-for-purpose design solutions.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across multidisciplinary teams and with external stakeholders.
- The ability to manage competing priorities and deliver accurate, high-quality design outputs within project timeframes.

Experience across energy, resources, Oil and Gas, pipelines or related industries would be highly regarded.
