About us
Independence Australia Group is a social enterprise that provides choice for people with a disability or other personal need, enabling them to regain and retain their independence within an inclusive community.
About the role
We are seeking two Peer Coaches to join our team. Drawing on your own lived experience, you'll support people who are adjusting to life following a spinal cord injury, helping them build confidence, navigate challenges and see what's possible for their future.

- Participate in group education and rehabilitation sessions
- Share lived experience to support goal setting, independence and community participation
- Help individuals develop confidence as they navigate life with a spinal cord injury
- Build meaningful relationships with participants and their families
- Contribute to a positive rehabilitation experience
- Supporting other IA lived experience programs
