At Alloy Steel International (ASI), we're looking for a proactive and technically minded Production Engineer to become a key member of our engineering team. You'll work at the heart of our operation, bridging engineering, production, quality, and procurement to help deliver exceptional products to our customers.

This is a hands-on role where you'll collaborate with engineers, production teams, suppliers, and customers to ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards.

Your responsibilities will include:

- Developing production drawings, DXF files, and engineering documentation

- Creating CNC cutting and nesting plans to maximise efficiency

- Managing job travellers and production documentation through the ERP system

- Providing technical support to production teams

- Coordinating engineering changes and repeat manufacturing jobs





- Conducting quality inspections and preparing QA documentation

- Supporting procurement activities including supplier liaison and purchasing

- Identifying opportunities for process improvements and cost savings

- Contributing to a culture of operational excellence and continuous improvement

About You

We're looking for someone who combines strong technical capability with a practical, solutions-focused mindset.

You will bring:

- Engineering degree or relevant engineering qualification

- Minimum 2 years' experience in engineering, drafting, manufacturing or fabrication

- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Inventor, or similar CAD software

- Strong attention to detail and quality focus

- Excellent planning and organisational skills

- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a rapid-paced environment

- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills

- Passion for continuous improvement and problem-solving
