Westbuild is offering casual full-time productions and yard forklift operators roles on AM and PM shifts, working Monday to Friday, in our production facility. Full training will be provided. The role involves operating various production equipment in an automated production facility and yard forklift operations.
Key Responsibilities Machine Operators
- Operating various production equipment in an automated production facility, including fully automatic bagging and palletising lines
- Operate forklift in a safe manner and ensure all daily checks are completed
- Ensure plant and equipment is kept clean and properly maintained for optimal performance
Key Responsibilities Yard forklift Operators
- Loading and unloading of trucks
- Picking and loading as per picklists and dockets
- Shipping dockets on the inventory system
- Scheduling truck runs (as a backup person when needed)
- Ensure company policies and procedures are adhered to at all times, and all production documents are accurately and fully completed
- Keep the work area clean and unobstructed at all times
About you
- Solid work history and experience in a fast paced manufacturing environment
- Excellent communication skills
- Physically fit
- Current forklift ticket
- Driver's license and your own reliable vehicle
- Positive, can-do attitude
- Attention to detail and willingness to learn
- Willingness to follow instructions and work as part of a team
- Experience with automated/robotic packaging equipment would be an advantage
