Australian Wax Company is a Melbourne manufacturer making candles and home fragrance products for well-known Australian brands, and supplying wax to other makers. We’re a small, busy team about to move into a new factory, and we’re looking for someone to grow with us.

The role

This isn’t a process-worker job. As our second in charge, you’ll run the factory floor day to day so the business keeps moving whether or not the owner is on site. You’ll own:

- Planning each day’s production runs and assigning the team
- Receiving deliveries, checking them against orders and unloading
- Picking, packing and booking dispatch
- Spotting stock shortfalls, ordering supplies and following up with suppliers
- Rostering and training our production staff
- Keeping the site secure, clean and organised
- Helping plan and carry out our move to the new factory

About you





- You’re quick to pick up new software and have experience with computers.
- You’ve supervised or led in a warehouse, factory or production setting, or you’re ready to step up into your first leadership role
- You’re comfortable with hands-on physical work and lifting
- You’re clear and confident giving instructions to a team
- You stay calm and organised when priorities change at short notice
- A forklift licence is desired but not essential.

What we offer

- $72,000 to start with a salary review after 90 days.
- Permanent full-time role with a 6-month probation
- Monday to Thursday 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM, and a 1:00 PM finish every Friday
