About the role

Relcon Pty Ltd is seeking a Refrigeration Pipework Installer to join our team in Adelaide, SA. This is a full-time position based on-site where you will be responsible for the installation of refrigeration piping systems for a variety of commercial and industrial applications. This role is fundamental to ensuring our clients receive high-quality refrigeration solutions that meet industry standards and regulations.

You will work directly with our team and clients to deliver professional pipework installations that keep their operations running smoothly.

Key responsibilities

- Install refrigeration piping systems in commercial and industrial settings, including measurement, cutting, bending and joining of pipes
- Connect refrigeration units, compressors, condensers and evaporators using appropriate piping and fittings
- Perform pressure testing, leak detection and system commissioning to ensure all installations are safe and compliant
- Maintain accurate records of all pipework installations, modifications and maintenance work completed
- Ensure all work complies with relevant safety regulations, building codes and industry standards
- Collaborate with other tradespeople and supervisors to coordinate installation schedules and project timelines
- Maintain tools and equipment in positive working condition

What we're looking for in

- Current refrigeration trade qualification or equivalent recognised certification in refrigeration and air conditioning and any pipe work installation experience
- Experience as a refrigeration pipework installer, or a similar role
- Strong knowledge of refrigeration systems, piping materials (copper, steel, plastic) and industry standards
- Proficiency in using specialist tools such as pipe benders, flare tools, pressure gauges and leak detection equipment
- Understanding of pressure testing procedures, evacuation and charging protocols
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail




- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Current driver's licence and willingness to travel to job sites as required
- Commitment to health and safety practices and compliance with site regulations
- Desirable: experience with commercial or industrial refrigeration systems, knowledge of EPA and environmental regulations, or experience with preventative maintenance programmes
