Do you love making customers feel welcome? Kalis is looking for warm, friendly Retail Liquor Team Members to join our liquor retail team in Launceston.

In this role you’ll look after customers, help keep the store looking outstanding every day, and work with your team so the store stays fresh, inviting and easy to shop.

You don’t need to know a lot about liquor. We’ll teach you about the products and the licensing side of the job. What we need from you is a friendly personality, pride in how the store looks, and a real enjoyment of helping people.

What You’ll Do

- Greet every customer warmly and help make their visit enjoyable

- Give great customer service, including product advice and recommendations

- Keep the store looking its best: shelves full, displays tidy, and planograms and promotions set up to standard

- Process sales accurately on POS and handle cash

- Help with receiving deliveries, stock rotation, replenishment and loss prevention

- Follow responsible service of alcohol and liquor licensing requirements, including checking ID

- Help build a loyal local customer base

What You’ll Bring

We care more about your attitude and customer service skills than about liquor experience. You’ll likely have:

- A friendly,



outgoing personality. You enjoy chatting with people and making them feel welcome.

- Retail or customer service experience (fashion, homewares, specialty, grocery, hospitality or similar). This is helpful but not essential.

- An eye for detail and pride in keeping the store well presented
- A team player attitude and reliability

- Confidence handling customer questions and staying calm when it’s busy
- A willingness to learn about liquor and wine. We’ll support you with this.

- A current Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) certificate, or a willingness to get one before you start

- Availability to work across 7 days, including evenings and weekends
